The Idea
The tree writes.
We listen.
A tree does not hurry. It spends fifty years, sometimes two hundred, composing a single story — drought and abundance, storm and stillness, written in rings no human hand could draw.
A veneer is that story, made legible. The thinnest possible slice of a long life, opened like a page.
We believe such a material deserves more than decoration. It deserves editors. At Strandply Furniture Essentials, we treat wood the way a great publisher treats a manuscript: most are declined, a few are chosen, and the chosen are prepared without compromise.

The Book-Match
Opened like a page.
Consecutive leaves are sliced from one flitch and turned about their long edge, so the grain of the second mirrors the first. The joint becomes the spine, and the figure reads across it as a single drawing.
